Subscriptions & Billing

How do I cancel my GloSkin Pro subscription?

GloSkin Pro is managed entirely through the Apple App Store. To cancel:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
  3. Find GloSkin Pro and tap it.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

Your Pro access remains active until the end of the current billing period. You won't be charged again after cancellation. We're unable to cancel subscriptions on your behalf — it must be done through the App Store.

Can I get a refund for my subscription?

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refunds must be requested directly from Apple:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
  2. Find the GloSkin Pro purchase and select Request a Refund.

Apple's refund policies apply. We are not able to process refunds directly, but we're happy to help troubleshoot any issues you've experienced — just email us at support@gloskin.app.

What's included in GloSkin Pro vs. the free version?

The free tier includes:

  • Limited face scans per day
  • Limited AI Skincare Guru chat messages per day
  • Basic routine checklist
  • Core product recommendations

GloSkin Pro adds:

  • Unlimited face scans
  • Unlimited AI chat messages

Account & Data

How do I delete my account and all my data?

You can delete your account directly in the app:

  1. Open GloSkin and go to the Today tab.
  2. Tap the settings icon (top right) → AccountDelete Account.
  3. Confirm deletion. This is permanent and cannot be undone.

Alternatively, email us at support@gloskin.app with the subject "Delete My Account" and we'll process the deletion within 5 business days.

All data including your skin profile, photos, diary entries, and chat history will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Is my skin data and photos kept private and secure?

Yes. Your privacy is our top priority.

  • Your face scan photos and check-in selfies are stored in your private, access-controlled account — they are not publicly accessible.
  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256) on Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure.
  • We never sell your personal data or health information to third parties.
  • We do not use your photos or skin data to build advertising profiles.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You have the right to a copy of your personal data. To request a data export, email us at support@gloskin.app with the subject "Data Export Request".

We will provide your data in a portable format (JSON or CSV) within 30 days of your request.

App Features

Why isn't the face scan working?

If the face scan isn't working, try the following:

  • Check camera permissions: Go to iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → make sure GloSkin is enabled.
  • Lighting: Ensure you're in a well-lit area. Natural or bright indoor light works best. Avoid harsh backlighting.
  • Position: Hold the phone at eye level, about 12–18 inches from your face. Remove glasses and ensure your full face is visible in the frame.
  • Restart the app: Swipe up to close GloSkin and reopen it.
  • Update the app: Ensure you're on the latest version via the App Store.

Is GloSkin's advice a substitute for seeing a dermatologist?

No. GloSkin provides cosmetic and educational skincare guidance only. The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnoses or clinical treatment.

If you have a persistent skin condition, unusual lesions, severe acne, or any medical concern, please consult a licensed dermatologist or healthcare professional. GloSkin is designed to complement — not replace — professional skincare advice.

How do I turn off push notifications?

You can manage notifications in two places:

  • Within the app: Settings → Notifications — toggle individual notification types on or off.
  • Device settings: iPhone Settings → Notifications → GloSkin — fully disable all GloSkin notifications.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes.

If you signed up with Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, you'll need to manage your password through Apple or Google respectively — tap the corresponding sign-in button on the login screen.

If you're not receiving the reset email, check your spam/junk folder, or contact us at support@gloskin.app.

The app keeps crashing — what should I do?

We're sorry to hear that! Here's what to try:

  1. Update GloSkin to the latest version from the App Store.
  2. Restart your iPhone — hold the side button and volume button, then slide to power off.
  3. Free up storage — if your device storage is nearly full, apps can become unstable.
  4. Reinstall the app — delete and reinstall GloSkin from the App Store (your account data is backed up to the cloud).

If crashes continue, email us at support@gloskin.app with a description of when the crash occurs, your device model (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro), and your iOS version (Settings → General → About).
